Align Your Marketing Campaign with PG&E’s Upcoming Campaign

PG&E is working hard to generate Home Upgrade leads for contractors and raters like you. The next major PG&E marketing campaign will launch in October, and Build It Green encourages you to coordinate your own marketing with this campaign. We call it the “double tap”: your customers will get a marketing message from PG&E, and a week later, they’ll see it again when you launch your own campaign. When customers see the same message twice, they’ll be more likely to pick up the phone.

PG&E will be sharing marketing creative with contractors and raters so that you can begin to create your own campaigns. PG&E’s October campaign will target the Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno, Modesto, Yosemite, and Sierra areas. SUCCESS with Existing Homes Training

The SUCCESS with Existing Homes training program introduces a standardized approach to retrofit work focused on reducing installation defects, minimizing callbacks and avoiding re-work.

Participants will learn to:

  • Establish a prevention-oriented culture built around standard work methods
  • Communicate the value proposition of building science techniques
  • Apply field installation techniques and quality control steps for air sealing, duct repair, duct sealing, and insulation preparation and installation

Participants will also receive a full installer guide that includes information sheets, picture-based job aids and installer checklists that can be applied the day you walk out the door.

PG&E Marketing Campaigns Next Week

Beginning the week of May 18, The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will send campaigns to homeowners in hot climate zones and who appear to have inefficient AC systems.

The email and direct mail campaigns will target the Yuba City, Tracy, Jackson City, and Fresno areas. Participating contractors and raters in these regions should expect an increase in homeowner calls.

Update: PG&E Marketing Campaigns Launch This Week

The Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) marketing team has scheduled three marketing campaigns to promote Home Upgrade to homeowners who may be planning or considering a remodel. The email and direct mail campaigns will target the Fresno, Stockton, Sacramento, Sierra, Yosemite (Modesto, Merced, Turlock, and Madera), and North Valley (Redding, Chico, and Red Bluff) areas. Participating Contractors in these regions should expect an increase in homeowner calls.

The campaigns will launch:

  • Tuesday, March 10 (email)
  • Friday, March 13 (direct mail)
  • Saturday, March 14 (email)
